Windier than yesterday early doors so 5.2s were rigged and the call was made to head upwind to Cabezo. I paired up with Ian to get there and this turned out to be the best bit of the day as we flew up in only 2 tacks sailing and gybing in synchrony, helped very much by the lovely Exocet Cross 84.

Once there conditions weren't so great - high tide meant that the waves were breaking very close to the shore/rocks and although good for jumping this combined with extreme onshoreness made riding very difficult. Things then went from bad to worse as I changed to the "speed needle" Fanatic Freewave 86. The wind really picked up and I fell off horribly trying to gybe the damn thing and twisted my ankle. Immediately I thought "oh shit holiday over...???" so I took no risks and sat out the rest of the day's sailing praying it wouldn't flare up. Which it didn't - phew - was a good call to stop straight away.
